I am Dr. Michele L. Blume. I'm a licensed clinical psychologist with over 15 years experience working as a therapist. I am also a certified Somatic Experiencing practitioner, and an integration therapist. In my work as a therapist, I aim to provide you with guidance that can assist your personal transformation and enable your expansion into greater joy, compassion, creativity and self-love. Wherever you are on your journey, I will work with you to enhance your self-knowledge and grow your capacity to experience a deeper connection with yourself and with others. Together, we can illuminate the vast possibilities of your life and open your heart to receive them.

In addition to my work as a psychologist, I am also an international author. My book is titled, Mindful Somatic Awareness for Anxiety Relief: A Body-Based Approach to Moving Beyond Fear and Worry. The pages of my book offer a gentle guide for those looking to transcend their fear and worry and awaken to their true nature through mind-body discipline. My book provides a basic, yet detailed understanding of the extraordinary relationship between the mind and body and highlights how deep emotional wounds embedded in the interior landscape of your mind-body consciousness point to the origins of your chronic fear and worry. My book is now available in German, Russian, and Korean.

Mindful Somatic Awareness

for Anxiety Relief

Mindful Somatic Awareness is a meditative practice that helps you quiet the fear generating parts of your mind-body. It can also deepen your meditative practice by facilitating access to the emotional wounds at the core of your fear and worry. In each chapter of my book, I provide exercises to help you expand your understanding of how early fear-based experiences shaped you and how they may be linked to your present anxiety and emotional overwhelm. The exercises also provide you with a blueprint for healing these emotional wounds so you can move through your fear and engage life authentically and with an open heart.
