Letting Go of Your Narratives

One of the hardest things to do is to let go of your narratives and to see yourself, your loved ones, and your lived experiences as they really are, not as you want them to be. There is great safety in the stories you tell yourself, even though these very stories perpetuate your anxiety. Honesty requires a willingness to challenge these narratives and the thoughts and feelings contained within them, so you can know the truth of your subjective experience. And as this truth emerges and you are able to work through and release the emotional energy bound up with these early wounding experiences, there is a corresponding reparative processes that brings your mind-body back into alignment with its instinctive drive to become its potential.”
