Therapy can be expensive which often deters efforts toward improving your emotional health. However, therapy is also an important investment in yourself. During the initial consultation, I will discuss fees and payment for ongoing therapy.
Sessions following the initial consultation last 50 minutes and are typically held once a week. However, depending on the presenting issues, we may decide to increase or decrease the frequency of sessions.
Fees are to be paid each session. I accept cash, credit card, or personal checks.
In order to set realistic treatment goals and priorities, it is important to evaluate what resources are available to you to help you pay for your treatment.
I am an out-of-network provider with all insurance companies. Services are provided on a fee-for-service basis and are charged directly to you, the client. I will provided a monthly statement that has all the necessary information for you to bill your insurance company directly. If you are unsure of your insurance plan’s mental health coverage, contact your insurance company to determine your mental health benefits.
You can check your coverage by asking your insurance company the following questions:
Do I have mental health insurance benefits?
What is my deductible and has it been met?
How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?
What is the coverage amount per therapy session for an out-of-network provider?
Psychotherapy services may also be reimbursed under your Flex Plan or medical saving account.
Once you have made an appointment, cancellations require a 24-hour window, barring emergencies. I am very understanding and willing to be flexible during unforeseen circumstances that prohibit your attendance. However, a payment will be charged if you are unable to maintain your appointment in a non-emergency situation or if attendance is inconsistent.
